The Vietnam Matchplay Championship will resume on September 22 and run through September 25 at West Lakes Golf & Villas in Long An after a two-year break brought on by the pandemic. The Vietnam Matchplay Championship 2022 presented by T99 (VMC 2022 - T99 Cup) is a major competition organized by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) and VGS Group and is the penultimate event in the series of Vietnam Amateur Tournaments in 2022. The VMC 2022 - T99 Cup offers players the chance to earn points toward the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
West Lakes Golf & Villas (Long An)
The VMC 2022 - T99 Cup format is single-elimination match play. All amateur golfers of Vietnamese nationality are expected to join the game. The tournament is expected to have 80 male golfers, 20 female golfers, 20 middle-aged golfers, and 20 junior golfers that will compete in 4 groups: Men - Lady - Middle-Aged - Junior. In the qualifying round, the golfers will compete in a Stroke Play format to determine whether elite players will advance to match plays.
